Latex Mattress ILD Explained

ILD is a foam test measurement describing how much force is required to compress a sample by a specified amount. Higher values generally indicate firmer foam under the same test conditions.

Why ILD has limits

A mattress combines layers, quilting and a support core. A single latex-layer ILD therefore cannot predict the complete feel by itself.
