Certification language is only useful when you know what component or product scope the certificate covers.

Common names

• GOLS: organic latex products and processing requirements.
• GOTS: organic textile processing and content.
• OEKO-TEX Standard 100: testing for specified harmful substances in certified articles/components.
• GREENGUARD Gold: chemical emissions certification for eligible products.
• eco-INSTITUT: emissions and pollutants testing/certification programs.

Always ask “certified what?”

A latex layer certification does not automatically certify the cotton cover, wool, coils or finished mattress. Read the manufacturer's exact scope.
