Dunlop vs Talalay Latex

Dunlop and Talalay describe ways of manufacturing latex foam. They do not, by themselves, tell you whether latex is natural, organic or synthetic.

Dunlop

Dunlop processing is commonly associated with a denser, supportive latex feel, though exact firmness depends on formulation and manufacturing.

Talalay

Talalay processing adds freezing and vacuum steps and is often used for more consistent, buoyant comfort layers. Again, process is not the same thing as firmness.

What matters more than the name?

Layer thickness, firmness/ILD, composition, certification and the surrounding mattress construction all affect the final feel.
